A bit of this, a bit of that - and a lot of music
What a great song. Have you heard Jules Shear's "original" version?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gXSJ8LGwrM
Hey, Jon: I hadn't heard the original version of "All Through The Night". Thanks for pointing me in its direction. However...For me, the original by Jules was a bit too dinky (or maybe "cute", or "twee" – pick your adjective). And as soon as it started, it reminded me of Matthew Wilder's "Break My Stride". I'm not sure I want to be reminded of Matthew Wilder's "Break My Stride".By the way, Wikipedia says this about the song:"Before Lauper covered the song, the band The Cars produced an early version of it that was not released."I haven't been able to find that unreleased Cars version anywhere, but I sure would like to hear it.
Yes, me too. I don't believe The Cars ever released a recording that was not an original (though they borrowed lots of other people's stuff making theirs).
