Musical coincidences # 335
My friend Steve (Hi, Steve!) told me about this coincidence ages ago (three months), and I completely forgot about it – until that fateful* day a few days ago when I was looking at some old emails.
(*Note to self: It wasn't a "fateful" day at all. It was just a regular day.)
Screaming Trees - "All I Know" (1996)

[Update: Oops. Steve let me know that I had excerpted the wrong part of the Peter Frampton song. Steve and his astute ears told me where the correct part was, so I found it, uploaded it, and the excerpt you hear now is the correct one. Thanks, Steve. Hopefully no-one will notice that anything untoward had happened. I won't mention it if you won't.]

Thanks Peter. I forgot about this too. I think the Frampton clip that sounds most like the Screaming Trees clip happens just prior to the part you sampled. I think it was just before Frampton sings "Yeahh!". I'll check it though.
ReplyDeleteHey, Steve: If that's the case, then it's time for me to say "Oops" and go back to both tracks for another listen.
DeleteAnd I'm glad you're willing to check it too. I dare say you'll spot it in no time.
